Today I yelled at myself in the mirror, mid shoulder workout. My shoulders are easily my most favorite body part to really push and I’m one of those obnoxious human beings who wants them to look like striated pumpkins. So clearly, the only natural thing to do is motivate yourself when you’re trying to pump out those last few reps.

I was alone in my home gym (the fancy term for my garage), wondering if the guys who are doing some work in my house could hear my obnoxious music, in the middle of a lateral raise/frontal raise superset…and it came out of my mouth:


Totally called myself a bitch, and totally told myself to slay. This is what Los Angeles has done to me.
